TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and 74 other party leaders, including MPs, MLAs and MLCs have been taken into preventive custody. They have been lodged in Dharmabad ITI training institute in Maharashtra.
Earlier, Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil had warned TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu against visiting Babhli barrage in Marathwada, saying it may pose threat to law and order situation in the region.
“The Government would take action against Chandrababu if he tries to enter the state to visit Babhli barrage and police would arrest him if necessary,” Patil informed the Legislative Council here.
“Despite the matter being subjudice, Chandrababu’s visit becomes illegal and it may threaten law and order situation in the area,” Patil said.
