The city police on Thursday arrested Mohammed Salauddin Ayub Khan, 55, the director of Parkwood International School in Vikarabad, for allegedly raping a Plus One student several times in the last four months.

 The girl, who hails from Mumbai, also became pregnant after a series of sexual assaults and Ayub forced her to take tablets for abortion. Police seized a revolver and some incriminating photographs from Ayub. He was charged with rape and criminal intimidation and is likely to be produced before the court on Friday.

 The Central Crime Station DCP, Mr J. Satyanarayana, said Ayub used to stay in a penthouse above the hostel where the girl stayed. “In her complaint, the girl stated that in March this year, Ayub took her to his penthouse and gave her a drink after which she lost consciousness,” said the DCP. “When she woke up, she experienced pain in her private parts and panicked after she saw blood stains. However, Ayub told her not to worry and sent her back.” He violated the girl again several times over the next four months.
